John’s debut album, From The Ground Up, has been out for barely a month, and we are very pleased to announce that he has already won his first award from it. This week the ASCAP Foundation has announced that “Moving” is the recipient of their annual Harold Adamson Lyric Award.
Harold Adamson (1906 -1980) was the lyricist behind many standards, including “Time on My Hands” and “Around the World in 80 Days,” and his family established this Award at The ASCAP Foundation to honor his legacy. John will be formally honored at a gala event in New York on December 12.
