Esquire Magazine has posted the exclusive world premiere of John’s new music video for “Happy”, the first single off the upcoming album, “Songs.”

Fullbright puts himself squarely into the experience of each of his tunes, which lyrically resemble works of literature or character studies rather than your usual folk formula. The uniqueness of this process is not lost on him, which informs “Happy.”

“A normal person, if they find themselves in a position of turmoil or grief, they’ll say, ‘I need to get out of this as fast as I can,’” Fullbright says. “A writer will say, ‘How long can I stay in this until I get something good?’ And that’s a bullshit way to look at life.”
