John on “A Prairie Home Companion”
The Fullbright team is very pleased to announce that John will be appearing on “A Prairie Home Companion” on September 29. Tickets are available for the live broadcast performance at the Fitzgerald Theater in St. Paul, Minnesota.

John had a great time talking with the folks from Art of the Song, creativity radio from Albuquerque. We’ll post air dates and streaming audio links when they’re available. John recorded a show for St. Louis radio station KDHX yesterday; it will air on their station and also stream “live” on their website tomorrow, Sunday, July 22, at 11:00 am CDT. Links to the show and some sound clips under the cut.
Update: ASCAP Foundation Lyric Award
Here’s the announcement of the ASCAP Foundation’s selection of John for the 2012 Harold Adamson Lyric Award. There are three videos at their site, including an interview with John, and John playing the award-winning song, “Moving.” Many thanks to the ASCAP Foundation for their support of singer-songwriters.

Friends of this site may remember that John was interviewed by the Wall Street Journal’s Jim Fusilli last month at the All Good Cafe in Dallas. Last week John was in NYC, and he paid a visit to Jim at the Off Duty Studio.
Fairfield, CT show postponed
John’s June 17 (Sunday) show at Stage One in Fairfield, CT is being postponed until fall.
ASCAP bestows Adamson Lyric Award for “Moving”
This week the ASCAP Foundation has announced that John’s song “Moving” is the recipient of their annual Harold Adamson Lyric Award. John will be formally honored at a gala event in New York on December 12.
